The Work required for this Project includes: 1)Full sequential removal and disposal of entire roofing section down to the existing metal deck. 2) Removal of selective flashing, counterflashing, scupper systems and expansion joint materials, including preparations for new systems. 3.) Temporary disconnection of ductwork, electrical power and controls, the addition of treated wood nailers to extend the high of curbs to accommodate thicker roof insulation, and post roofing reinstallation to a pre-disconnect level of service. 4.) Preparation & cleaning of existing roof bowls. 5.) Installation of new PVC roofing systems meeting Washington State Energy Code. 6.) Replacement of existing roof heat/smoke vents, including curbs. 7.) Procurement & installation of locking access ladders at the PCT Strad Maintenance Bay. 8.) Procurement & installation of new Fall Protection Systems at the PCT Strad Maintenance Bay. 9.) Procurement & installation of new LED lighting systems at the PCT Strad Maintenance Bay. Estimated cost range is $575,000 to $625,000, plus Washington State Sales Tax (WSST). Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid security in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Base Bid in a form allowed by the Instructions to Bidders. Public Works Training Requirements: Effective July 1, 2019, all businesses are required to have training before bidding on public works projects and prevailing wage under RCW 39.04.359 and RCW 39.12, or is on the list of exempt businesses maintained by the Department of Labor and Industries. The training will be provided by the Department of Labor and Industries or by a training provider whose curriculum is approved by the Department of Labor and Industries.
