As of August 29, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The Project consists of wastewater treatment facility improvements at the City's Northwest WPCP inclucing the installation of a pump station, biofiltration treatment system package unit, piping, and all necessary appurtenances for complete installation. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. If awarded the Contract the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Bonds must be provided by sureties appearing on the U.S. Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing and be licensed in the State of Georgia. All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be approved prior to the date of the bid opening. Acquisition of property for permanent easements, right of way, etc. is not expected to be required for this project. The City of Rochelle is committed to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing. This project is funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant The work to be performed under this contract is under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701 U. Section 3 requires that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for employment and training be given to the low-income residents of the project area, and contracts for work in connection with the project to be awarded to business concerns which are located in or owned in substantial part by persons residing in the area of the project.
