The purpose of this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is to solicit quotes to furnish/provide collection and disposal services for various debris from Newport News Creek. Debris may be floating, suspended, or deposited in and along the shoreline or rip rap of Newport News Creek, as identified inside the red outlined area in displayed in Attachment A of this RFQ. The Seafood Industrial Park is a thirty-nine (39) acre commercial fishing and industrial marine facility located at Newport News Point and adjacent to Interstate 664. Storm conditions can and do cause debris to enter the Newport News Creek via storm drains and from the elevated I664 roadway. The goal of this contract is to keep the Seafood Industrial Park harbor free from debris or floating objects that can threaten marine life or pose a danger to navigation. The City is committed to the stewardship of the waters of this marine facility. Question Submission Deadline: May 21, 2024, 1:00pm
