Site work and paving for a road / highway in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of June 7, 2024, project was awarded to MidState Paving, LLC, awarded amount is $117,487.75. The Contract Base Bid includes installation of 320 tons of 9.5 mm WMA Wearing, 1.5" compacted depth; 410 LF of variable depth milling; 1270 square yards of pavement reconstruction; and 2635 LF restoration of line painting for lane delineation, Stop Bar and pedestrian crosswalk paintings and all other aspects detailed within these documents. The Contract Base Bid does not include work within fifty (50') feet either direction of the Boalsburg Pike bridge over Spring Creek, adjacent to the Military Museum. A Contract Alternate shall include work within the bridge zone to include milling of existing asphalt wearing course from the bridge deck, application of a waterproofing membrane, and asphalt overlay and related work within the bridge zone. The Work in Contract No. 24-03 is to be completed within 45 days of notice to proceed. Said notice to proceed will be coordinated with contractor but shall be issued no later than July 30, 2024. Bid security must be provided at the time of bid submission in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to Harris Township in the form of a certified or bank check or a bid bond issued by an accepted surety and executed by the bidder. Surety companies executing bonds must be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, as currently amended, and be authorized to be in business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Harris Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities. Any questions relating to this request for bid proposal shall be referred to Jere Northridge, Township Engineer at jnorthridge@collegetownship.org. Questions must be received by noon on Monday, May 20, 2024. The questions and answers will be issued to all plan holders.
