The name of the party submitting a question will not be included on the Q&A document. Ohio Department of Public Safety's (DPS) mission is to save lives, reduce injuries and economic loss, administer Ohio's motor vehicle laws, and preserve the safety and wellbeing of all citizens. DPS is now reviewing how to position their facilities to best serve the current and future needs of the state. DPS would like to conduct a study to evaluate the existing Crime Laboratory and project future site needs. The current State Highway Patrol Crime Laboratory facility is outdated and does not have the capacity or modernization to meet its current and future mission. The current State Highway Patrol Crime Laboratory is located within the Alum Creek warehouse at 1583 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus OH, 43209. This study will define the ideal crime laboratory facility for DPS then compare how the existing facility meets the standards established for the ideal facility. It will then recommend a path forward to provide the best services for the state of Ohio. The selected consultant shall develop an evidence-based master plan which defines how DPS can achieve: 1. The premier Crime Laboratory testing facility in the country. Award of this solicitation does not guarantee continuation should DPS receive funds to construct the facilities. OFCC retains the right to resolicit a firm for the design and construction of this facility The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
