Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Nelson, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Contractor to conduct Bridge repairs as outlined in detail in Schedule “C” of the contract for Bridges N7-031-Duncan FSR at 60.5 Km, N7-032-Duncan FSR at 67.4 Km and N7-135-Powder FSR. Bridges N7-031 and N7-135 require new curbs and risers, along with other regular noted maintenance items such as approach barrier installation, sign replacement, brushing, minor concrete patching, etc. Bridge N7-032 requires full deck (ties, decking, running planks, curbs and riser and ballast wall replacement) and may require a Peeper Truck or equivalent to safely access works as bridge is over a deeply incised canyon. Due to the remote location of the 2 Duncan bridges, contractor may choose to camp for these works vs travel to work site each day. Treated bridge timbers for all bridge repairs are provided for by the MOF and to be picked up by the contractor at the Selkirk-4 Mile Office by the contractor. No Post barriers for each bridge approach are provided for by the MOF and to be picked up by the contractor at the MOF Compound in Salmo. Bridge signs and posts are provided for by the MOF and to be picked up by the contractor at the Selkirk 4 Mile Office. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca Award subject to final approval is Turner Excavating Ltd (Nelson BC) $57,400
