Notice is hereby given that SOUTH ORANGE VILLAGE (the "Village") is seeking Bids from qualified firms for the purchase of the Village's Water System ("System") pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:62-1, et seq. (the "Municipal Sale or Lease Law"). All comments and questions concerning this Request for Bids ("RFB") and the corresponding procedures and requirements must be addressed in writing, and received no later than June 7, 2024 at 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, via email, facsimile or mail, to the following: Ellen Malgieri, Village Qualified Purchasing Agent South Orange Village South Orange Municipal Offices 76 South Orange Avenue, Suite 302 South Orange, NJ 07079 ellen@southorange.org The Village reserves the right to reject Bids that are not received by the Village at the time and in the manner designated by the RFB. Any and all Bids may be rejected if deemed appropriate by the Village in accordance with applicable law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders shall be required to provide a Bid bond with their Bid in the amount of $20,000. The System shall not be sold until the legal voters of the Village authorize same pursuant to a referendum process.
