Asbestos Abatement And Demolition Projects 11 Prospect Avenue, Port Crane, New York 13833, Town Of Colesville 714 E Windsor Road, Windsor, New York, 13865, Town Of Windsor 2667 Nys Route 12, Chenango Forks, New York 13746, Town Of Barker 18 Broad Street, Binghamton, New York 13904, City Of Binghamton 8 & 8 1/2 Cypress Street, Binghamton, New York 13905, City Of Binghamton 1209 Nanticoke Drive, Endicott, New York 13760, Town Of Union 61 Park Avenue, Binghamton, New York 13903, City Of Binghamton (Add Alternate No. 1) Sealed Bids Will Be Received By The Owner For Asbestos Abatement, Demolition, Site Clearing And Site Restoration. No Proposal Will Be Considered Unless It Is Accompanied By A Bid Guarantee, Which Shall Not Be Less Than Ten Percent (10%) Of The Amount Bid For The Total Work To Be Done. At The Option Of The Bidder, The Guarantee May Be A Certified Check, Bank Draft, Negotiable Us Government Bonds (At Par Value), Or A Bid Bond Approved By The Corporation Counsel. Certified Check Or Bank Draft Must Be Payable To The Order Of The Owner. Cash Deposits Will Not Be Accepted. The Bid Guarantee Shall Insure The Execution Of The Agreement And The Furnishing Of The Surety Bond Or Bonds By The Successful Bidder, All As Required By The Contract Documents. Contracts For Work Under These Bids Obligate The Contractor, Subcontractor And Any Sub-subcontractors Not To Discriminate In Employment Practices. All Work Shall Be Conducted In Strict Accordance To Title 12 Nycrr Part 56 And Any Approved Variance Thereof And All Applicable Osha Requirements. Successful Bidder Shall Begin Work Within Ten (10) Calendar Days Of Award And Be Substantially Completed On September 11, 2024. The Owner Reserves The Right To Reject Any And All Bids And To Award The Contract In The Best Interests Of The Owner. Project Description Asbestos Demolition and Limited Site Work at Several Vacant Residential Properties in Broome County, NY DESCRIPTION - WORK INCLUDED A. Throughout the Contract Documents, reference is made to codes and standards which establish qualities and types of workmanship and materials, and methods for testing and reporting on the pertinent characteristics. B. Where materials or workmanship are required by these Contract Documents to meet or exceed the specifically-named code or standard, it is the Contractor's responsibility to provide materials and workmanship which meet or exceed the specifically-named code or standard. C. It is the Contractor's responsibility, when so required by the Contract Documents or by written request from the ARCHITECT/CERTIFIED PROJECT DESIGNER, to deliver to the ARCHITECT/CERTIFIED PROJECT DESIGNER all required proof that materials or workmanship, or both, meet or exceed the requirements of the specifically-named code or standard. Such proof shall be in the form requested in writing by the ARCHITECT/CERTIFIED PROJECT DESIGNER and generally will be required to be copies of a certified report of tests conducted by a testing agency approved for that purpose by the ARCHITECT/CERTIFIED PROJECT DESIGNER Temporary facilities and controls required for this work include, but are not necessarily limited to: A. Enclosure of work areas and posting of caution signs. B. Decontamination chambers including shower facilities, located conveniently close to work areas. C. Clean (locker) room, equipment room, and material transfer room. D. Negative-air Pressure Equipment. E. Disposable clothing, respirator masks, and any other material and equipment necessary. F. Scaffolding, ladders, staging, etc. G. Visual barriers between work areas and other building areas. H. Provide and maintain portable toilet facilities The scope of work includes the following activities: Project One - 11 Prospect Avenue, Port Crane, New York 13833, Town of Colesville 1. Work Area #1 - involves the controlled demolition of the condemned structure with friable ACM, PACM and asbestos contaminated materials in place. Project Two - 714 E Windsor Road, Windsor, New York, 13865, Town of Windsor 1. Work Area #1 (A and B) - involves the controlled demolition of the condemned structures with friable ACM, PACM and asbestos contaminated materials in place. Project Three - 2667 NYS Route 12, Chenango Forks, New York 13746, Town of Barker 1. Work Area #1 (A and B) - involves the controlled demolition of the condemned structures with friable ACM, PACM and asbestos contaminated materials in place. Project Four - 18 Broad Street, Binghamton, New York 13904, City of Binghamton 1. Work Area #1 (A and B) - involves the controlled demolition of the condemned structures with friable ACM, PACM and asbestos contaminated materials in place. Project Five - 8 & 8 ½ Cypress Street, Binghamton, New York 13905, City of Binghamton 1.
