The Playgrounds Upgrade Project involves enhancing the playgrounds at Brentwood, Discovery, Liberty, and Park View sites. It includes installing resilient play surfacing, new playground equipment, demolishing existing structures, and implementing ADA upgrades as noted in the Contract Documents. Erickson-Hall Construction provides notice to all contractors of the adoption of SB 854, this requires subcontractors to comply with the requirements as set forth on the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) website at http://www.dir.ca.gov/PublicWorks/publicworks.html SB 854 requires all contractors who perform public works projects must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015), unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
