Mccurtain County Rural Water District No.8 to Let a Contract for Water Main Improvements for the Mt Fork Cedar Hills Lakes Development. for Furnishing All Labor, Equipment, Materials, Supplies, and Supervision Necessary for the Construction of 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch Water Mains Associated With the Mt. Fork Cedar Hills Lakes Development. A Certified or Cashier's Check, or an Acceptable Bid Bond in an Amount Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid Shall Accompany Each Bid as a Guaranty That, if Awarded the Contract, the Bidder Will Promptly Enter Into Contract With Rwd #8 and Furnish Bonds on the Forms Provided. The Successful Bidder or Bidders Will Be Required to Furnish a Performance and Payment Bond, Each in the Amount of the Contract, Written by a Responsible Surety Company Authorized to Do Business in the State of Oklahoma That is Satisfactory to the Owner. Bidders Are Expected to Inspect the Site of the Work and to Inform Themselves of All Local Conditions. The Time of Completion Shall Be 150 Calendar Days Including Saturdays, Sundays and Legal Holidays. Attention of Bidders is Directed to Section 4 of Act 74 of 1969, Requiring That Not Less Than the General Prevailing Rates of Per Diem Wages for Work of Similar Character in the Locality Where the Work is Performed Shall Be Paid All Laborers, Workmen and Mechanics Employed in the Construction of Public Works. MCCURTAIN RURAL WATER DISTRICT #8 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any minor informalities, and to award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. CONTRACTORS are cautioned that qualified bids will be subject to rejection. CONTRACTORS are specifically advised that any person, firm, or other party to whom it is proposed to award a subcontract under this contract must be acceptable to the Owner.
