Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a 131,368-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

1. Purpose of Project. Scope is to provide the construction of a new community park on parcels owned by the City of Ferguson at 9315 W Florissant Ave. The new park will be adjacent to the future Great. Rivers Greenway (GRG) District's Maline Greenway Corridor. While the Maline Greenway and the West Florissant Community Park Projects are expected to benefit each other mutually, it is essential to recognize that they are separate projects. The new community park will be located south of the proposed greenway and north of the Maline Creek. A portion of the new Community Park is in a floodplain. Key program elements include, but are not limited to: a. Multi-purpose pavilion (with lighting) b. Unisex Public Restroom with Drinking Fountain c. Parking Lot for 16 vehicles d. Food Truck Plaza e. Strolling Path with designated picnic areas f. Grill Stations g. Outdoor Seating h. Bicycle Repair Station and Bicycle Racks i. Native Planting j. Stream Bank Plantings k. Emergency Call Station l. Pedestrian Site Lighting m. Vehicular Parking Light Fixtures. n. Litter Receptacles and Dog Waste Bag Dispenser 2. Purpose Scope of Work a. Demolition Activities. trees, curb, sidewalk, and driveway entrance.) b. Elements of construction include new: sidewalks, curb and gutters and a new driveway approach. A prefabricated restroom, prefabricated pavilion, installation of site furnishings, and strolling path are also proposed. The site includes curb replacement and new concrete parking lot pavement striping. As an alternate bid, Contractor may provide an asphalt parking lot and or asphalt walking path. Construction also includes the placement of a sewer pipe to catch runoff from the site. The site will include the installation of native plant material. To the North of the park area will be the soon-to-be-constructed Maline Greenway by Great Rivers Greenway (GRG). 3. Size of project. is 3.01 acres. 4. Current Occupancy Use. Unused 5. Other significant aspects of the work. A portion of the site perimeter will be enclosed with a 42" high chain link fence. 6. Other major aspects of the work. Site perimeter will be enclosed with a 4-0' high chain link fence. A muti-use path with lighting is proposed for meandering through the site. The City intends to issue the Notice to Proceed for this work in June 2024.
