The Nantucket Public Schools, through its School Committee, invites qualified bidders to provide preventative maintenance service and repair on all HVAC equipment, digital and Pneumatic controls located at the Nantucket Elementary, Nantucket Intermediate, Cyrus Peirce Middle, and Nantucket High Schools and the Central Offices. The bid deposit may be in the form of a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check from a responsible bank or trust company payable to the Nantucket Public Schools, cash, or a bid bond from a surety company. The winning bidder or Contractor must furnish a performance and a payment bond from a surety company within 10 days of the bid award in the amount of 100% of the contract price to guarantee performance and payment to materials suppliers and/or subcontractors in the event the general contractor fails to pay the material suppliers and/or subcontractors. Bidder must be DCAM Certified and provide an Update Statement if the total bid is over $150,000 CONTRACT LENGTH The Contract shall commence July 1, 2024 and will expire on June 30, 2025 unless extended for two additional years, at the sole discretion of the School. Prevailing Wage Rates, in accordance with M.G. L. c.149 s 26 to 27H apply to this project. The Nantucket Public Schools reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest.
