As of September 4, 2024 this project was awarded to Lewis Communications But the awarded amount is not available Newberry County is requesting proposals for the reworking of the network cabling in the Newberry County Courthouse, 1226 College Street, Newberry, SC. Funding will be provided by the 2022 CPST Referendum. Project will require new CAT6 ethernet cable to be run from each red and blue dot location marked on the blueprints provided to the third-floor room notated as 303/300. All network cable runs will need to go to a punch block. All ports must be numbered on the punch block and wall jack and tested. Punch blocks and rack to be provided with proposal. Drawings are included for each floor indicating the locations for the proposed cabling. Existing fiber connections and four CAT6 connections must be ported to the 3rd floor rack (303/300). The current fiber location is in a sub-level room below the basement floor level notated on basement floor blueprint as electrical A103. A six-strand fiber will be fine. Current connections on the second floor must remain in place, and the new network cable runs and plates must be installed from red dot marks on blueprint to 3rd floor 303/300. Connections on the first floor and basement level offices can be replaced or a new CAT 6 cable and jack can be installed, leaving this option open to the vendor. The blue dots marked on the blueprints designate the locations for our current security cameras. A new jack and CAT 6 cable run will need to be installed to go from each blue dot to the 3rd floor punch block at 303/300. Current cabling for cameras must remain in place. Some camera connections may be at a higher height on the wall (closer to the ceiling). There are a couple of new spots designated for future cameras. A few offices have a security camera at their door. These door security devices will need to have their connection stay in place with a second new connection running to the third floor. The following must be provided with proposal: A cost per run for any additional runs that may need to be added during installation that is not currently shown in the blueprints provided. The rack will need to accommodate the punch blocks, 3 switches, and one Firewall with room for expansion. A 42U unit or floor standing rack is preferred. Cable run totals below include all red and blue dots shown on the 4 blueprints provided. Rack and Punch blocks to accommodate at least 240 ports. Cat 6 Patch cables220 @ 1' foot, 100 @ 7 feet, 20 @ 10' feet, 10 @ 15' feet.
