Project Identification: Springton Lake Middle School and Media Elementary School Milling and Pavement Overlay and Penncrest High School Long Jump Runway Resurfacing Project Project Description: Bituminous Paving, Athletic Track Resurfacing Project Locations: 1. Springton Lake Middle School: 1900 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063 2. Media Elementary School: 120 E. Front Street, Media, PA 19063 3. Penncrest High School: 134 Barren Road, Media, PA 19063 Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10% percent of the proposal amount. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening, except as permitted under the Bid Withdrawal Act, 73 P.S. Section 1602. However, this time period is extended to 120 days if the award of a contract is delayed due to the required approval by another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities to the extent permitted by Pennsylvania law. Successful bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. 1. All work shall be substantially completed by August 16, 2024. 2. Full and final completion shall be by August 30, 2024 13 June, 2024 - Formal Award of Contract 19 June, 2024 - Begin Construction 16 August, 2024 - Substantial Completion 30 August, 2024 - Final Completion Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder If deadline is not met - liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per day will be assessed. The undersigned Bidder agrees to execute a contract for this Work in the above amount and to furnish surety as specified within 10 days after a written Notice of Award, if offered within 60 days after receipt of bids, and on failure to do so agrees to forfeit to Owner the attached cash, cashier's check, certified check, U.S. money order, or bid bond, as liquidated damages for such failure, in the following amount constituting ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount above Question Deadline 05/21/2024 Submit written questions to be addressed at Pre-bid meeting minimum of two business days prior to meeting.
