Renovation of a library in Jersey City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Masonry Restoration at the Heights Branch Library The work consists of restoration of building facades, replacement of steel lintels, reconstruction of exterior staircase and handicapped ramp, and other related work as shown on the drawings and specified in the book bound specifications. Any and all questions that arise during the bidding period must be submitted in writing and forwarded via email directly to the architect, Helena Ruman, at helena.ruman@rumanarchitects.cqm. No questions will be accepted by telephone. All questions must be submitted in writing no later than May 31 , 2024 at 4:00 P.M. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. All bids shall be irrevocable not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for period of sixty (60) days. Bid Proposal MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check, made payable to the Jersey City Free Public Library in the amount equal to ten (10%) Percent of the Bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00. Proposal MUST COMPLY WITH SPECIFICATIONS and must be handed to the Library Director when called for at the time and place aforementioned. Bids must be submitted individually in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Library Director, Jersey City Free Public Library, with the name of the project and the name of the contractor submitting the bid on the outside. No bid will be received prior to the hour aforesaid and none will be received thereafter. At such time and place, all bids will be unsealed immediately, the contents thereof will be publicly announced and a proper record of the prices and terms will be made. No bid will be received by mail or after the bidding is formally closed. The Library Director reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, or portions thereof, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Jersey City Free Public Library to do so.
