Site work for a water / sewer project in Brunswick, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work to be performed under this project consists of the furnishing of all materials, tools, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary for the design, manufacture, delivery, erection, painting, disinfection and testing of a 750,000-gallon composite elevated storage tank. The tank will be located in the JWSC North Mainland Service District in the general vicinity of I-95 Exit 42 (southwest of the interchange) Glynn County, Georgia, with an assigned address of 118 Cherokee Trail, Brunswick, Georgia, 31525. The tank is to be completed with all accessories specified herein, and is to be erected on foundations to be designed and constructed by the Tank Contractor. The tank shall meet all the requirements of AWWA D107 Standard for Composite Elevated Water Storage Tank. Clearing, grading, grubbing and foundation based upon Geotechnical Design are also included in this scope of work. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days The Contractor shall have completed at least five (5) composite elevated tanks with a minimum capacity of 500,000 gallons or greater. All bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state "Utility Manager" certificate holder who will have oversight of all the work. The contracting company shall own their fabrication facilities. Divided responsibilities between erection and fabrication will not be allowed. A qualified supervisor employed by the contractor shall be on site at all times during construction of the concrete to support the structure and water tank. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be made in writing to the Purchasing Director, Pam Crosby, via email: pcrosby@bgjwsc.org no later than Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Requests for clarification received after this date will not be considered. All responses to submitted questions will be issued via addendum to pre-bid attendees and posted on the JWSC website for reference. A bid bond of 5% of the lump sum bid for the submitted bid amount is due with the bid package. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount and in accordance with Georgia law with be required as part of the contract execution. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the JWSC as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that they have been awarded the contract. JWSC reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and make a decision in the best interests of the JWSC. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability." Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
