Springville City desires to retain the services of a professional custodial services company for a new fiveyear contract providing services to Springville City facilities. The project will include, but may not be limited to the following: keeping all areas in all facilities clean and presentable at all times, daily porter services, scheduled deep cleaning of carpets, scheduled cleaning of interior and exterior windows, scheduled cleaning of upholstered surfaces, and other such services associated with facilities cleaning. The retained company shall supply cleaning staff Monday through Saturday, depending on the building and per a schedule supplied by the contractor and approved by the City for each facility. Depending on the building, the custodial staff may include a day porter(s) that will provide services while the facilities are open for regular business hours, and evening or weekend staff to complete regular services and/or deep cleaning projects. Day porters are required at the following: Civic Center, Clyde Recreation Center, Library, and Museum of Art. The Clyde Recreation Center will also require an after-hours custodial crew. Further details will be explained in the mandatory pre-bid meeting. All provided staff will be dressed in easily recognizable uniforms and well presented at all times. All custodial staff will be able to fluently speak and understand English. Custodial staff are expected to read and interpret labels on cleaning products and observe safe use and handling of cleaning products.
