Reference Number 0000352754 Tazewell County is inviting sealed bid proposals from interested and qualified parties to provide the materials and labor to construct a prefabricated metal building to be located on Tazewell County's Tremont campus just past the County's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) building located at 21304 Illinois Route 9, Tremont, Illinois. Delivery Point off the road just past the Tazewell County EMA building which is located at 21304 Illinois Route 9, Tremont, Illinois. Question Deadline 06/10/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Questions are submitted online Yes. Questions regarding this Request for Proposals must be submitted in writing to Mindy L. Darcy, Tazewell County Finance Director / Assistant County Administrator at bids@tazewell-il.gov . Award Requirements - All or None Award Project Construction of a Pre-Engineered 60' x 80'x 16' metal storage building. The building shall include four (4) 12' x 14' overhead doors, and one (1) 3' x 80" steel insulated access door, concrete pad with footings and apron at access door. The site will be cleared and prepared for the construction of proposed building by county staff. Site Location The building is to be located behind Tazewell County's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) building, located at 21304 Illinois Route 9, Tremont Ill. 61568 Scope of Work Tazewell County is seeking cost proposals for furnishing all necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials to construct a 60'x80'x16' pre-fabricated metal storage building with four overhead doors, and one access door OPTION 1: Site Preparation: County Staff shall provide clearing of the site in preparation for the awarded contractor to complete all necessary excavation and back fill in preparation for constructing footings and building concrete pad. Foundation: The contractor shall provide 12" x 48" concrete pier footings at all post locations of the building. Stainless steel post brackets embedded in the concrete pier footing and level with concrete slab to be included. Concrete Floor Slab: The contractor shall prepare the subsurface and install appropriate material and methods utilizing mechanical compactor to obtain compaction prior to placing 6 mil poly vapor barrier, 10 ga, 6" x 6" overlapping wire mesh w/stands. Place 5" fiber concrete, transit mixed conforming to ASTM C-94 4000 psi, 28-day strength with 6%-8% entrained air and slump 2 to 4 inches. Saw cut control joints 1/4"deep spaced as reflected on cut sheet "Option 3 Slab and Footings". Walls: The contractor shall construct sidewall columns 8' O.C. spacing, 3 ply 2x8 nail and glue laminated columns (#1 Southern Yellow Pine). Roof trusses shall be fastened at center plys of the columns. Place 2 x 4 wall girts at 2" O.C. at exterior columns. The contractor shall provide a 29 gauge all steel siding. 40-Year, Kynar Max-Rib Ultra steel, or similar, 80,000 psi tensile strength. Roof: Roof trusses shall be placed 8' O.C. with 2"x4" purlins placed at 2" O.C with a continuous ridge vent at full length of the roof. Steel roof panels shall be 40-Year, Kynar Max-Rib Ultra steel, or similar, 80,000 psi tensile strength (screws/fasteners-standard). Overhangs shall be 12" on both sidewalls (eaves) with vented soffit and 12" overhangs at both end walls (gables) with non-vented soffit. Gutter system shall include seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts sized to accommodate roof runoff. Contract shall specify within the bid proposal. Exterior Doors: Contractor shall supply and install per manufactures specification two (2) 12' x 14' un-insulated overhead doors with operators at sidewalls, two (2) 12' x 14' un-insulated overhead doors without operators per drawings to include all flat stock for tracks and springs for mounting, and one (1) 36" x 80" steel insulate walkthrough door with lockset. OPTION 2: All items reflect same as option 1 with exception of the below. Foundation: The contractor shall provide 12" x 36" concrete footings at full perimeter of the building with #4 standard truss rebar spaced at 24" O.C. for tie to wire mesh and placed in concrete slab. Stainless steel post brackets (embedded in the concrete pad/footing) at all post locations to be included. Concrete Floor Slab: The contractor shall prepare the subsurface and install appropriate material and methods to obtain compaction prior to placing 6 mil poly vapor barrier, 10 ga, 6" x 6" overlapping wire mesh w/stands tied to #4 rebar from footing. Place 5" fiber concrete, transit mixed conforming to ASTM C-94 4000 psi, 28-day strength with 6%-8% entrained air and slump 2 to 4 inches. Saw cut control joints 1/4"deep spaced as reflected on cut sheet "Option 3 Slab and Footings". OPTION 3: All items reflect same as option 1 with exception of the below Foundation: The contractorshall provide 12" x 36" concrete footings with rebar at the building perimeter and 12" x 24" concrete interior beams per attached drawing. Stainless steel post brackets (embedded in the concrete pad/exterior footing) at all post locations to be included. Concrete Floor Slab: The contractor shall prepare the subsurface and provide appropriate material and methods to obtain compaction prior to placing 6 mil poly vapor barrier, 10 ga, 6" x 6" overlapping wire mesh w/stands. Place 6" concrete, transit mixed conforming to ASTM C94 4000 psi, 28-day strength with 6%-8% entrained air and slump 2 to 4 inches. Saw cut control joints 1/4"deep spaced as reflected on cut sheet "Option 3 Slab and Footings".
