Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU) is requesting proposals for the construction services required for the installation of a new underground 3" conduit between the Emerson Performance Center and the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Building for the future installation of a fiber optic line. FIBER RUNS BETWEEN BUILDINGS Contractor is to furnish and install and test fiber optic lines in 3”, 3 Cell Multi-Duct (Innerduct) conduit as follows: One (1) 12-Fiber OS2 single-mode fiber optic cable; corning fiber is the basis of design. One (1) 12-Fiber OM4 multi-mode fiber optic cable; corning fiber is the basis of design. Terminate with 50’ coil at each building and fusion-spliced LC Pigtail cassettes. Provide power meter testing for a complete installation. Fiber handholes will have to be provided along the path of the fiber run between buildings per code requires as the direction changes and/or every 500 feet. Use existing handholes if available as well. SCI Engineering, Inc. (SCI) is providing a site plan to show all the utilities. Existing Emerson Performing Arts building has an existing internal backbone at 10 Gig.
