Frederic-Back Park is located above a former sanitary landfill, formerly known as the Miron quarry and today named the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex (CESM). The work concerned concerns the development of this portion in the center of the park and covers an area of 24 hectares on the sanitary landfill site. The project includes the following development works: - site organization; - demolition, removal and recovery work; - protection of the existing environment and plants; - excavation, earthworks and site shaping; - environmental rehabilitation of soils, management of construction debris; - road and trail infrastructure, drainage; - reinforced embankment retaining walls (TSM); - placement of compost and surface harrowing; - supply and installation of natural stones in alignment (one or two rows); - supply and installation of retaining walls; - development of drainage ditches and drainage trenches; - supply and installation of prefabricated paving stone coverings; - development of paths and trails in stabilized stone screening; - installation of park furniture and signage; - planting trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses; - hydraulic seeding; - supply and installation of protective fencing; - movement and reinstallation, supply and installation of mesh fence on prefabricated Jersey-type concrete border.
