This Request for Proposals (RFP) is official notification of needed professional services. This RFP is being issued to solicit a Letter of Interest (LOI) and other documents from firms qualified to perform engineering work as contained in this request. A submittal does not guarantee the firm will be contracted to perform any services but only serves notice the firm desires to be considered. Project Location: Walesboro Industrial Area Improvements Project Description: This project consists of several improvements in the Walesboro Industrial area. The selected firm will be required to complete the design work on all improvements. The improvements to be included are as follows: 1. Improvements Related to Toyota Material Handling Expansion o Widening of CR 225 W to 2 - 12' lanes o Installation of a 10-12' wide asphalt side path along CR 225 W from Deaver Road to CR 300 S, and along the CR 300 S site frontage o Reconfiguration of the intersection of CR 225 W and Deaver Road to align with the exiting Toyota entrance 2. Deaver Road Sanitary Sewer o Design of a new 12-inch gravity sewer extending from a manhole on the south side of County Road 150 W and Deaver Road approximately 4,000 feet west on Deaver Road 3. Improvements to the Intersection of Deaver Road and CR 175 W o Geometric improvements to allow WB-67 truck turning movements 4. Realignment of CR 175 W o Realignment of CR 175 W to intersect Deaver Road at the intersection of CR 150 W and Deaver Road o Removal of a section of existing 175W between new alignment and Deaver Road 5. Improvements to the Intersection of CR 450 S and CR 175 W o Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis o Traffic signal design if warranted o Geometric improvements to intersection 6. International Drive Geometric Improvements o Geometric improvements to allow WB-67 truck passing movements, as outlined in American Structurepoint Safety Study Project location maps and additional documents can be found in Appendix A. Project is projected to bid Q4 2024 or early Q1 2025 with construction starting spring of 2025. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
