New York SMP - 8th to 10th Public Works The City Commission of the City of Alamogordo will consider the tabulation of Bids at its next regular meeting or at a later meeting if required. The Work designated as New York SMP - 8th to 10th consists of, installing new 6-inch water line, valves, water connections, new water services and fire hydrants, pipe bursting new sewer line and service connections, the removal and replacement of concrete, asphalt paving patchwork, traffic control, and appurtenances, in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and other Contract Documents. Construction Industries Division (CID) Project Classification Determination: DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Water Main, Service Lines, Valves ad Fire Hydrants (includes utility pavement patch) Remove and Replace Concrete Sidewalk Remove and Replace Curb and Gutter Remove and Replace Driveway Aprons Remove and Replace Asphalt Paving LICENSE REQUIRED: GF-9 or GF-98 GA-1, GA-3 or GA-98 GA-1, GA-3, or GA-98 GA-1, GA-3 or GA-98 GA-1, or GA-98 In accordance with the provisions of the New Mexico Construction Industries Licensing Act, all project work must be performed by properly licensed contractors and subcontractors with active licenses in good standing as of the date and time specified for Bid Opening. The City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid license classification as specified above or other appropriate license classification under the Construction Industries Licensing Act at the time the contract is Bid. Any work outside the scope of the Prime Contractors classification(s) must be subcontracted. Any work subcontracted by a Prime Contractor must be performed by an entity that is validly licensed in the classification(s) of the work that is to be subcontracted as of the date and time specified for Bid Opening. Bids that do not satisfy applicable licensing requirements will be considered non-responsive. Prospective BIDDERS are advised of a 10% Bid Evaluation Criterion for area businesses that will apply to this Project. The CONTRACTOR is advised to obtain specific information as to the qualifications and conditions of the Bid Evaluation Criterion before submitting a Bid. A Bid Security shall accompany each Bid in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total Bid amount. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Bid amount to assure the performance of the Contract, as well as payment for all labor and materials of the Contract. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, and the City of Alamogordo reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and waive all technicalities and formalities. No BIDDER may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the Bid Opening thereof. Attention of BIDDERS is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
