Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Dallas, Texas. Working plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The owner has selected a Construction Manager. Awarded CM is Beck 3i - joint venture. Project Scope A Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) team to provide pre-construction and construction services for the new construction of a 3-story, 190,000 square-foot school that houses grades PK - 12 at the site of the existing City Lab high school in Downtown Dallas. The campus will not be occupied during construction and will be classified as a greenfield site. Total Estimated Construction Cost: $70,000,000.00. BONDS: Bid bonds, performance bonds, cashier's checks, and/or irrevocable letters of credit are required to ensure performance and safeguard taxpayer funds. Each solicitation shall be accompanied by either a cashier's check or Surety Company bid bond in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of total bid/proposal amount. Check or bond shall be payable to the district as payee or oblige and shall be effective on the receipt/opening date of the solicitation. If the Offeror submits a Cashier's Check in lieu of a Bid Bond the following statement must be typed at the bottom left-hand side of the Cashier's Check: "In Lieu of Bid Bond". Bid Bond shall be executed by a surety duly authorized to do business in Texas and licensed by the State of Texas to issue surety bonds.
