This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Hadley, Massachusetts. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
All wastewater chemicals go to the treatment plant on 100 Mullins Way in Hadley, Massachusetts. A loading dock is present for all chemicals. Sodium percarbonate and polymer must be shipped in pallet loads of containers not to exceed fifty-five pounds (55lbs). Sodium percarbonate and polymer must be granular, free flowing (no clumps)and dust-free when poured. Sodium percarbonate shall be GC PRO Oxidizer or approved equal. Polymer and percarbonate must be delivered in a plastic or polyethylene bag with a minimum 3mil thickness such that it is resistant to scuffing and tearing, or else delivered in a plastic bucket. If actual in-plant performance data is not available for the product submitted, a qualified sales representative must supply a sample and assist in running an in-plant trial to establish dosage rates and costs. The total amount of sludge processed is about 1,100 dry tons annually. All questions shall be emailed to Simone Cristofori at cristoforis@amherstma.gov . The Town will award one contract for each chemical for one (1) year commencing on the date of execution. A contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder(s) offering the lowest price for each item. Question Deadline 05/31/2024 Questions and inquiries will be accepted from any and all bidders and must be in writing. Questions will be answered in writing and both questions and answers will be distributed to all bidders who receive the IFB provided, however, that all questions are received at least seven (7) days in advance of the bidding deadline.
