The scope of work includes labor, materials and equipment to remove and dispose of eleven (11) existing overhead doors and install eleven (11) rolling steel overhead doors and eleven (11) electric openers with electric safety edges located at 1145 Jordan Road, Huntsville, AL 35811. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to perform the project called for under this contract in a timely, safe, and professional manner A cashierÿs check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractorÿs bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractorÿs bid. A performance bond, a payment bond, a maintenance bond and proof of insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. The project must be complete by September 30, 2024. The estimated date for the Notice to Proceed to be issued is July 1, 2024) The Contractor shall submit in the bid package, the requested information included on the form, ÿUnauthorized Aliens Affidavitÿ as shown in the specifications. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or handicap. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Presidentÿs Executive Order No. 112-46, as amended.ÿ No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. Huntsville Utilities is seeking a contractor who will furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to perform the removal and disposal of eleven (11) existing overhead doors and the installation of eleven (11) new overhead doors at Huntsville Utilities’ Chase location. All work performed under this agreement must meet the applicable State of Alabama and/or City of Huntsville codes and specifications.
