The project must be designed, phased, coordinated and constructed to maximize safety and minimize disruption to the existing, occupied campus. All design and construction shall be in compliance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities, the Florida Building Code, the National Fire Protection Association, Florida Fire Prevention Code (Life Safety Code), barrier-free design guidelines, Florida Statutes and District Standards and Policies. The project shall be designed and constructed to meet the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Schools rating system. The successful CMR will be commissioned to provide pre-construction services during all phases of the A/E's design services. The CMR, in conjunction with the A/E, shall validate the program. CMR shall provide a report which includes, but is not limited to, evaluation of existing conditions, scope of work, cost estimate and construction schedule. The CMR shall provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the projects. The Board is not obligated to accept the GMP proposals for construction services and may select another CMR, re-advertise the required services or select an alternate construction delivery method. Construction Budget: $15,140,533. Project Estimated Budget $37,360,283.00.
