Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a 10,800-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.

In general, the work consists of: all general construction work required to provide the new Equipment Building at the Nevin Hatchery, located in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. The new building will replace 4 existing buildings on the site (DNR buildings #2246, #2969, #3653 and #6428), which will be demolished and removed as a part of this Contract. The new building generally will function to allow staff to maintain fisheries equipment in a clean and disinfected state, and ready for use, provide the space and equipment necessary for the processing of fisheries and aquatic biological samples, and storage areas for fisheries boats and associated equipment. The building will be single story, approximately 10,800 GSF, and will be located within the Nevin Hatchery property. Scope of work is anticipated to include; Site Development as necessary to create the site for the building, including existing building demolition, excavation of the site for foundations, dewatering of the site, hillside excavation and retainage as necessary to create the building site and allow for construction operations, provision of utilities and service laterals required for the building, abandonment and modifications to existing obsolete services presently in place at the site, provision of drainage structures at the site, provision of new site pavement work adjacent to the Building Construction as necessary to provide the Equipment Building, including cast-in-place concrete footings, foundations, ground slabs and associated structures, provision of a single-story, gable roof, steel frame, manufactured metal building with steel roof and wall panels, in the size and configuration as shown on the drawings and specified herein. Provision of interior construction, finishes, equipment and furnishings as shown on the drawings and as specified herein, which generally includes a disinfection bay (approximately 1,100 SF), an equipment readiness area (approximately 4,100 SF), which includes sample processing areas, toilets and boat storage, and a general storage area (approximately 5,400 SF). The disinfection bay and the equipment readiness area will be insulated and heated. The general storage area will be unheated. Provision of all building mechanical, electrical and plumbing work. The building will be classified Storage Group S-1. Type of construction IIB. The building will not be sprinklered. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
