Site work for a water / sewer project in Reed City, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The contractor shall provide and furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment to complete the work as described. Any details, techniques, or methods not specifically mentioned, but obviously required to meet the specification, their intent, and accepted trade practices shall be used to produce a satisfactory job and shall be considered incidental to the work. The tank's existing conditions and the scope of work is provide here A. Tank Information 1. 300,000 Gallon Elevated Single Pedestal Spheroid Water Storage Tank: a. The structure has an estimated diameter of 48 ft. and height to overflow (HWL) from the nameplate of 72 Ft. 8 In. and is located on City property off of 225th Avenue B. The work includes the scope found in the Repair Details and the Maintenance Inspection Report in Appendix A, which include 1. 300,000 Gallon Elevated Single Pedestal Spheroid Water Storage Tank: a. Abrasive blast clean and repaint exterior with fluorourethane system. b. Epoxy recoat exposed concrete foundation. c. Concrete and grout spalling repair d. Re-grout between baseplate and foundation where grout is missing. e. Provide a new overflow flap gate with 24-mesh stainless steel screen. f. Provide new weatherproof gasket on all roof hatches including painters (bird) roof hatch. g. Provide handholds for all roof hatches. h. Provide painter's rail outside of existing roof handrail. i. Provide additional rigging couplings on the roof for fall prevention of workers in the wet interior. j. Provide a threaded coupling to the fill/draw pipe for a chemical feed line. k. Provide a check valve on the condensate drain line. l. Re-attach loose plastic jacketing on the fill/draw pipe. n. Spot abrasive blast clean and spot paint dry interior with epoxy system. o. Replace existing mud valve. p. Provide a tank mixer. q. Abrasive blast clean and repaint wet interior with epoxy system. r. Provide wet interior access tube ladder with fall prevention device. s. Provide a rigging lug on the transition cone above the top platform manhole. t. Provide cathodic clips and pressure fittings for future submerged cathodic protection system. Question Deadline 06/14/2024 65 PM Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The project includes repairs and improvements to the City's 300,000-gallon water storage tank located on 225th Avenue. Work items for this contract include exterior repainting, dry interior partial repaint, wet interior repaint, cathodic clips and pressure fitting, roof painter's railing, overflow flap gate with updated mesh sizing, wet interior ladder, mixer, mud valve, installing a condensate drain line check valve, and other incidental improvement items provided in the specifications. Work items are further expanded on in the specifications, plans, and maintenance inspection report. There are also four other separate contracts as part of this project, which includes watermain replacement throughout the city (Contract 1), installation of two new wells and a well house (Contract 2), lead service line replacements (Contract 3), and water meter installations (Contract 5). In addition, there are lead service line replacements outside of the DWSRF project area that are expected to be completed. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. City reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest. 07/01/24 Engineer’s letter of recommendation to Owner 07/02/24 to 07/03/24 Owner’s financing review 07/08/24 Owner’s tentative award of construction contracts, Council Notice to proceed will be issued no later than 10/27/2024.
