The work shall consist of the installation of approximately 5062 linear feet of 20-inch cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) piping along River Road, air release valve and vault, pavement and sidewalk restoration, landscape restoration, and all other associated work as indicated. The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material associated with the Northwest Pump Station 20" Ductile Iron Forcemain Rehabilitation. The work as shown on the Plans and as specified herein includes the construction of approximately 5,000' of 20" cured in place pipe along River Road in Naperville Il It is the intent of this specification to provide for the reconstruction of approximately 5,000 feet of the Northwest Pump Station 20" ductile iron force main with a new cured-in-place (CIPP) within the existing host pipe. The CIPP shall be designed as a fully structural Class IV pipe, not relying on the remaining strength or water tightness of the host pipe to withstand long-term external loading and internal pressure. Items of work consist of the following: earth excavation, bituminous pavement removal and HMA pavement construction, concrete sidewalk and curb and gutter removal and installation, coarse aggregate installation, HMA and PCC driveway pavement, force main pipe cleaning, removal of existing flow meter and reinstallation, force main pre and post CCTV inspection and installation of a class IV CIPP Liner and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the Plans and described herein. Bid Deposit When a bid deposit is required as indicated on the Invitation to Bid, each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond signed by a surety company authorized to do business in Illinois, a cashier's check or a certified check. For construction projects the bid deposit shall be in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. Any bid deposit shall be in an amount equal as indicated in the Invitation to Bid. When bids are awarded, the Purchasing Manager will return all checks except those of the successful bidder(s). The check(s) of the successful bidder will be returned upon the submission within ten (10) days of a properly executed performance bond. If no performance bond is required, the certified check will be returned.. Questions requiring a clarification or interpretation of the specifications shall be submitted to the Purchasing Division in writing at least five working days prior to the bid opening
