The existing building is presently located at 459 Switch Road in Wood River Junction, Rhode Island. The project consists of demolition and removal of an existing built-up asphaltic roof system and 2 to 3 inches of insulation. There is existing mechanical and electrical equipment on the roof that will need to be temporarily disconnected and temporarily stored while the roof is being replaced. After completion of the new roof the equipment is to be returned to new curbs and reconnected by the roofing contractor or subcontractor(s). The new roof system is to be EPDM rubber roofing membrane. There will be a vapor barrier, protection board, and approximately 6" of insulation throughout the roof. All existing rooftop equipment will be removed and replaced with new curbs provided by the roofing contractor. The contractor is to provide roof drains with new drain bodies connected to the existing interior drain lines. There is abatement of lead contaminated paint, ACM adhesives and interior leader insulation that will be removed by the abatement group. The contractor is to coordinate their demolition work with the abatement team so as not to affect the overall project schedule. The contractor will procure and hire the abatement group. The abatement testing and abatement plan have been completed by RI Analytical Laboratories.
