Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued in writing mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Department as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. IN GENERAL THE WORK COMPRISES: Work for this project includes but is not limited to, furnishing all labor supervision, materials, equipment, tools and performing all operations required for the replacement of existing bridge No. 874035 with a wider bridge section. Detail scope of Work includes but is not limited to: 1. Dredging and/or excavation of existing Biscayne Canal (C-8) at canal bottom and slopes under and up/downstream of new proposed bridge. 2. Roadway improvements inclusive of signalization modifications, milling & resurfacing, signing & pavement markings, sidewalks, new drainage features, guardrail installation. 3. Contractor to Coordinate with City of North Miami Beach Water and Sewer Department during construction activities, due to proximity to existing water main along west side of proposed bridge, and coordination with all utility and local stakeholders. Contract Base Estimate is $5, 916,649.09. All RFI requests should be e-mailed to Laura Hernandez at Laura.Hernandez@miamidade.gov while copying the Clerk of the Board (clerkbcc@miamidade.gov). Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposed total bid amount as guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract will provide, as set forth in the Bid Documents, a Performance and Payment bond satisfactory to Miami-Dade County, Department of Transportation and Public Works, equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the total Contract award amount. Bidders may not withdraw theirs bids for a period of one-hundred and eighty (180) calendar days after the bid opening, after which they may be requested to extend their bids until either a Notice of Contract Award or a Notice of Rejection of Bids has been filed with the Clerk of the Board, Miami-Dade County. The County reserves the right to postpone or cancel the bid opening at any time prior to the scheduled opening, reject any and or all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, or to re-advertise the Project. The County, choosing to exercise its right of rejection, does so without imposition of any liability against the County. ******Document Notes : Otherwise, if preferable, only the flash drive containing all solicitation documents can be purchased for a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00). Payment shall be in the form of a company check, cashier's check, or money order payable to "Miami-Dade County, Department of Transportation and Public Works." These Solicitation and Contract Documents contain instructions and requirements, not addressed by this Advertisement, that are essential to the preparation and submittal of Bids.
