Renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility.
Work to be completed as part of the Project shall include all materials, equipment, supplies, and labor necessary for the following items: Concrete installation for the floor of one (1) pole building measuring eighty (80) feet by fifty (50) feet and will include floor drains, and stone base. All work on this project shall conform to applicable codes and standards governing the various items of work and shall represent sound construction methods and materials in accordance with industry standards. The Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any material or construction method proposed for the project. The Contractor shall have sufficient Liability Insurance to complete the proposed project and shall be licensed with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additional requirements are included in the project documents. Any and all questions regarding the project shall be made by contacting Matt Harper at The EADS Group, Inc. at (814) 535-5388. Work under this contract is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (1961 August 15, PL 987, PS 165) and as amended. Work under this contract is subject to the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012). The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to fully complete all work within 60 consecutive calendar days from the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids. Additional requirements are included in the project documents. The Borough of Sharpsville, Mercer County, is requesting quotes to install a concrete floor at the new Equipment Garage Pole Building at the Public Works Maintenance Yard. The following is a scope of work for the project. 1. The project will include a concrete floor (50' x 80'), floor drains, and concrete aprons at the garage doors as shown on the attached building plan. 2. Contractor to verify existing grade, and compact existing crushed stone. 3. 4" Schedule 30 PVC floor drains will be installed as shown. 4. 6 inch thick Concrete aprons will be installed at garage door entrances as shown on the Building Layout. Elevations to match concrete floor elevation and existing grade on the roadway side. 5. Note that the previous building included concrete foundations that remain. Contractor may need to sawcut, hammer and remove existing concrete to install floor drains. 6. Existing pavement shall be sawcut, demolished and removed as needed to install concrete aprons and to install 4" PVC drain pipe to daylight. Install bituminous pavement per the attached standard detail. 7. Project includes PA Prevailing Wages. 8. Notice to Proceed will be issued after processing award documents and upon Building Construction by others. Anticipated Notice to Proceed is July 2024. 9. Contract time will be 60 days from Notice to Proceed. 10. Contractor will be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds.
