Start/Delivery Date August 2024 Project Duration One year with two additional one year extension Question Deadline 05/29/2024 at 4:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes Redlands is a full-service, general law city incorporated in 1888 with a population of approximately 75,000. The City has 9 departments and approximately 409 full-time employees. The City operates its own library, police department, fire department, airport, landfill, solid waste service, and water utility. The City of Redlands ("City") Parks Division is requesting proposals from qualified firms ("Proposers") for Landscape Maintenance Services to City Maintained Parks, Center Medians and Landscape Maintenance Districts ("Services"), which shall be provided under the general direction of the Facilities and Community Services Department. The City maintained parks are located all throughout the City of Redlands with many site amenities that meet the resident's needs. From passive turf, athletic fields, dog parks, tennis courts, walking paths, and more, the parks are a place for everyone to enjoy. Redlands parks are highly valued all throughout the community as shown in the annual events and reservations that are held and the regular usage they receive. With many areas to enjoy a group gathering at one of the many picnic shelters or out in the grass under a tree, the parks are a key element to our community. The City is seeking capable bidder(s) to work collaboratively with staff to meet the following key components of mowing, trimming and other landscape maintenance services: o City parks will only require mowing services. o City center medians will require the full Scope of Services; some locations on the median list will include mowing services. o Courteous, quality service while providing staff with mechanically sound, safe equipment. o A thorough knowledge and understanding of the growing challenges the State of California is facing with the on-going drought. o Able to provide solutions as water restrictions and mandates are imposed at the local and statewide level. o Ability to communicate effectively with staff. o Demonstrate a thorough understanding of providing quality service and quality control.
