Spartanburg County is seeking qualified contractors to complete renovations to the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Every effort has been made to ensure that all information needed is included in this document. If the Proposer finds that they cannot complete its response without additional information, it may submit written questions or requests for clarification to the County Purchasing Department at the addresses listed on page 1 or submit questions by email to Lisa Coleman, Procurement Director, at lcoleman@spartanburgcounty.org. Written questions shall be submitted at least five (5) calendar days prior to Proposal's submission date. Questions submitted after this date will be rejected as not timely. Where the Proposer fails to seek clarification, the County's interpretation shall control. The Proposer agrees it will not make any claim for, or have right to withdraw its Proposal because of any misunderstanding or lack of information. Proposals are not to have any exclusions. Exclusions will come from Spartanburg County in the form of an addendum. Any proposals received with exclusions will not be accepted. The Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium is seeking qualified contractors for renovations. The Auditorium opened in 1951 and has undergone three (3) renovations over the years. The renovations in this scope of work are in two areas of the Auditorium. Level one work involves renovations of two sets of men's and women's public restrooms. Level one work also includes remodeling of the current office space at the front entrance area into multi-purpose entry and meeting space. The second area for renovations is on Level four. Level four is the main stage of the theater, and the work involves a remodel of dressing rooms used for performers for various events held at the auditorium. After award of purchase order, any changes that result in additional cost to Spartanburg County must be submitted in writing to J.J. Wofford at jwofford@spartanburgcounty.org for prior written approval. Do not proceed with any changes until written notification to proceed is in hand.
