Rosecrest Pipeline Capacity Upgrades DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all facilities, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and manufactured articles, and furnishing all labor, transportation, and services including fuel, power, water, essential communications, permits and performing all Work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Work includes installation of a new 24” welded steel pipeline to parallel an existing line which will increase capacity and reliability to the existing system and assist the District in meeting future water demands. The work also includes various vaults, valves, and other appurtenances to help bring the new pipeline into full working order. SITE OF WORK: The project begins at 13400 South Rosecrest Road in Riverton, follows the alignment of the existing pipeline along Rosecrest Road in Herriman headed south, and ends at JVWCD’s reservoir site at 5601 West Emmaline Drive, Herriman via Crown Rose Drive. An Award of Contract, if it were awarded, will be made within 60 calendar days of the opening of bids. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work shall be completed within 825 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Work shall be sequenced and scheduled as listed in Section 01 14 40 – Construction and Schedule Restraints. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check, money order or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price payable to the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, provide evidence of worker's compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price.
