The existing pipeline along Rosecrest Drive from 13400 South to Rocky Point Drive is a 16" ductile iron pipeline installed in 1993. This pipeline serves two metered wholesale connections at 13400 South to the cities of Riverton and Herriman and provides water to a JVWCD residential retail area in Riverton. The existing pipeline along Rosecrest Drive from Rocky Point Drive to 5601 Emmaline Drive is a 20" ductile iron pipeline installed in 2000. This pipeline services one wholesale connection near its southern end and terminates at a 3 MG JVWCD reservoir. The reservoir site has sufficient space for and is planned to receive an additional 3 MG reservoir in the future. JVWCD was created under the Water Conservancy Act as a political subdivision of the State of Utah. JVWCD was organized as a regional water supply agency to develop a water supply for rapidly growing areas outside of the Salt Lake City service area. JVWCD currently serves as a wholesale supplier to 17 member agencies and also operates a retail distribution system in several parts of Salt Lake County. In 2022, JVWCD delivered approximately 110,000 acre-feet of municipal and industrial water to its wholesale and retail customers. The general scope of work includes providing expert design services for pipeline installation, including project management and coordination, quality control, identification of underground utilities, assistance with right-of-way identification, preliminary and final design, corrosion assessment and recommendations, cost estimating, and construction management and inspection.
