Engineer's Estimate is $1,263,500.00 The schedule for this work will be finalized at the Pre-construction Meeting by the City of Salem Director of Public Service and the Contractor. One-Hundred-Twenty (120) calendar days, after "Notice to Proceed", have been provided to complete the project. The "Notice to Proceed" will be issued at the pre-construction meeting. Project Includes approximately: 2096 SY of Concrete Pavement Removal and Replacement 578 CY of Asphalt Pavement Surface Course 444 CY of Asphalt Pavement Intermediate Course Miscellaneous Sidewalk and Curb Replacement The bidders may be required to give references and such other detailed information as will enable the owner to judge responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular type of work will not be awarded a contract. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Columbiana County and the City of Salem, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services Wage and Hour Division @ 614-644-2239. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the fill name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.
