The scope of work involves supply and installation of exterior wayfinding signs complete with maps, frames, base, and concrete pads. Contractor must comply to all applicable accessibility codes where concrete pads are to be provided. Foundation and concrete pad designs are part of the shop drawings to be submitted by contractor, and must be P.Eng designed & stamped. Contractor is responsible for utility locates and protection of all underground services (including University-owned underground telecommunication lines). Hand digging should be used where required. Permit application (where required) will be submitted by the contractor on behalf of the owner, and the owner will pay directly to the authorities. Contractor should provide a detailed work schedule for the project (including shop drawing, staking & marking of exact sign locations, permit application, fabrication & installation). Contractors are invited to bid provided they demonstrate that they are currently on a Vendor of Record list for any Post-secondary Education Institution or Publicly Funded School Board for projects over $300,000 in construction value (excl HST).
