Renovation of a mixed-use development in Waterloo, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,919-square-foot library.
The project consists of interior renovations of approximately 16,919 sq ft to expand the Library throughout the second floor of St. Jerome's University's Library and Classroom Building. The renovations will generally include asbestos abatement, interior finishes, mechanical, electrical and an elevator lift. The Work is identified as St, Jerome's University Library Renovation - SJ2 Library and Classroom Building. General Contractors are invited to bid provided they demonstrate that they are currently on a Vendor of Record list for any Post-secondary Education Institution or Publicly Funded School Board for projects over $1M in construction value (excl HST). Scope of work includes renovations within an occupied building with Type III Asbestos Abatement requiring detailed phasing and hoarding plans to be prepared by the Contractor. General contractors to provide a list of a minimum of three projects with similar complexity and scope. Bidders shall provide a WSIB CAD 7 certificate indicating injury statistics for the last 5 years. References and Health and Safety Program details will be requested from the shortlisted bidders.
