Roadways a. Snow removal on Authority roads shall commence at the beginning of a snow event and shall be continuous until sufficient melting on the roadways has occurred. b. Ice and snow removal operations must be conducted in a manner that ensures safe vehicular traffic consistent with the posted speed. c. The interior service road from Gate 5 to South Cargo and from Gate 30 to ARFF shall also be included as a part of the Snow Removal Plan, a map/diagram will be provided by the Airfield Maintenance Manager. 2.1 Parking lots a. Snow removal will commence when one (1) inch of snow has accumulated on the surfaces of Authority parking lots. b. At no time should more than four (4) inches of snow accumulate on a parking lot surface. c. Snow shall be removed from the entrances and exits of all Authority parking lots. d. Parking stalls located within the parking lots shall be cleared once the snowfall has stopped. e. Parking stalls shall only be cleared two (2) times in a three-day span unless otherwise authorized. f. Areas around Shuttle pick up points. g. Walkways within the economy parking lots. Question Deadline 06/07/2024 at 3:00 PM CT Requests for clarification regarding the Request for Quotes must be made to the Director of Operations at crtorp@dsmairport.com The Des Moines Airport Authority ("Authority") needs a qualified contractor ("contractor") to provide on-call snow removal from Authority owned parking lots, gates, and roads beginning November 1, 2024 through May 1, 2025. The contractor shall complete the work as specified in "Attachment B The contract dates shall run from November 1, 2024 through May 1, 2025 The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all quotes.
