Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Trent Lakes, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,000-square-foot, one-story above grade pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
The Municipality of Trent Lakes requires the services of a contractor to design and build a new 100 ft. diameter conical sand dome at the 49 Depot, located at 110 County Road 49, Trent Lakes. This new dome is to have a storage capacity of 7,000 tonnes, complete with lighting and ventilation fans to reduce moisture build up on material and structure. Dome kit panels to be designed and supplied by certified dome panel constructor with panels manufactured in a factory setting. Contractor manufactured panels will not be accepted. There are two existing sand domes that were built in the early 1970s, these domes will be demolished outside the scope of this tender. The new sand dome is to be: - Storage capacity for Winter Sand to be 7,000 tonnes - Diameter of structure to be 100 ft. - Walls of structure to be 8 ft. from finished grade - Entrance to be 20 ft. x 20 ft. - Shingles to be minimum 30-year shingles - Structure to be wood panels designed and manufactured by a certified dome panel constructor with panels manufactured in a factory setting.
