Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in West Palm Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.
The S-169 Demolition project entails the demolition of the S-169 bridge, structure (gated culvert), control building, stilling wells, and associated features including pilings, pavement, curb, utility poles, and fencing. This project also includes reshaping of the canal bank and installation of riprap along the canal bank between the existing Clewiston boat ramps and the new Clewiston bridge. The Trash Rake (Manatee Barrier) portion of the project is located East of the existing structure S-169W. This is a new structure and includes a main walkway bridge on piles with pedestrian access across the Canal C21, sheet pile walls, concrete wall cap, armament, two trash rakes 12.8'wide, a conveyor system with 30" belt, three manatee grates (barriers), upstream stilling well, trash pit structure with adjacent stockpile area, site grading, power supply from existing S-169W control building, new night light pole on main bridge and control wiring to and from the existing S-169W structure. All work within the C-21 channel in the wet.
