The Work to be performed by the Contractor includes permitting, inspecting, furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, water, light, power, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities of every nature whatsoever necessary to modify, construct, complete, deliver and place in operation the subject Project as shown on the Drawings and/or as herein described as specified. The Project shall include, at a minimum, all piping, fittings, couplings, manholes, catch basins, curbs, gutters, accessories and appurtenances, sidewalks and ramps reconstruction, obtaining all required permits, compliance with permit conditions and City Standards, maintenance of traffic in accordance with City Standards, site restoration, and any other items depicted on the drawings and described in these documents and reference materials. All Work to be in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Project is located in the City of West Palm Beach ("City" or "CWPB"), Florida, East side of N Flagler Drive, from Dyer Road to North of Barcelona Road. The locations ofthe improvements are depicted on City of West Palm Beach-Engineering Services Department drawings dated November 2024,titled "Tidal Valve Installation (Phase 2C) Barcelona Rd., Granada Rd., Valencia Rd., Almeria Rd., and Dyer Rd. The City of West Palm Beach is accepting bids from qualified and responsible Contractors to assume full responsibility to complete the work as shown in the construction plans and described in the technical specifications for the Project which includes installation of inline tidal valves at specified outfalls, installation of various drainage structures and pipe to host the inline valves and corresponding pipes to connect the boxes to the existing system, manhole replacement, CIPP lining or replacement of host pipes segments and sidewalk restoration. Funds for this Project are derived from a State of Florida, Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Standard Grant Agreement (#LPA0234) and therefore the successful Contractor must comply with grant requirements. Liquidated Damages. Refer to General Condition 19. If said work is not completed within the specified times, the Contractor shall be liable and hereby agrees to pay to City as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the sum indicated below for each and every day or part of a day thereafter that said work remains incomplete. ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($135.00) per calendar day for each day or part of a day after scheduled substantial completion that Substantial Completion is not achieved. ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($135.00) per calendar day for each day or part of a day after scheduled final completion and Final Completion is not achieved.
