Site work and paving for a road / highway in Osawatomie, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
K-7 and 75th is currently an at grade intersection that does not allow north-bound traffic movements on K-7 when coming from the west on 75th Street, or south-bound traffic movements on K-7 when coming from the east on 75th street. The current intersection configuration does not allow traffic to cross K-7 from the east or west. This project will require the acquisition of right of way necessary to create a grade separation for 75th Street to cross over K-7 with a bridge structure. A diverging diamond interchange is contemplated to maximize safety by eliminating conflict points while minimizing the required right of way required. This project is included in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for FY 2025-2034. As of May 15, 2025, Design is expected to start June 2029 with completion December 2031. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
