Renovations to the EQT Lab, Fluid Lab, and Core Lab located in the Mineral Resources Building. Work includes slight demolition, painting, flooring, new countertops, ceilings, and lights. West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to renovate three lab spaces in the Mineral Resource Building ("MRB"). The EQT Lab, Fluid Lab, and Core Lab renovations will consist of the demolition and/or removal of existing ceiling panels, lights, diffusers, and cove base, installation of an American with Disabilities Act ("ADA") workstations, new flooring, painting, and other amenities. Cutoff for Questions: DATE: June 4, 2024 TIME: 12:00pm Questions MUST be submitted directly on the solicitation website on the Q&A Board. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion. Substantial Completion shall be December 13, 2024 Final Completion shall be December 30, 2024 The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
