Project involves rebuilding of approximately 50 sanitary manhole chimneys, including pavement sawing, chimney reconstruction, seals, castings, and asphalt pavement restoration. All Work is included in a single prime contract. Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be examined at the offices of Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District and the Consulting Engineer during regular business hours. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. A Bidder's qualification statement must be delivered to Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District at least 5 days before the Bid opening date. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bond or Certified Check payable to Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District equal to 5 percent of the Bid. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to Lake Pewaukee Sanitary District as liquidated damages.
