SBCS is requesting Bids from Offerors to provide the most practical, time effective and cost-efficient solution to replace boiler and control units at Salem Elementary School as described in the Project Manual. The description of services shall establish minimum requirements and expectations. Spotsylvania County Public Schools intends to award to one Contractor but expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to award a bid to be in the best interests of Spotsylvania County Public Schools. Bids shall be based on the drawings and specifications provided by Moseley Architects. SBCS will accept proposals from all Virginia Licensed, Class A Contractors qualified under the terms of the enclosed Documents. Any contract awarded as a result of this Invitation to Bid shall be bound by the General Construction Terms and Conditions and all federal contract laws and policies in Attachment H. Contract Term will be from the date of Notice to Proceed through July 25, 2025. Bidder agrees that they shall provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price if awarded a contract as a result of this bid. The scope of work shall be to upgrade and/or install a fully functional Building Automation Systems (BAS) to provide a comfortable building envelope. This occurs by using direct digital controls to schedule, monitor, adjust, alarm, trend, and command mechanical equipment.
