The City of Fredericksburg wishes to enter into a contract(s) for professional archaeological services on an on-call, as-needed basis. The City implements requirements for archaeological investigation in association with land development projects citywide, as defined in Ordinance 21-08, and included as City Code 72-50.5 Archaeological Resources. Professional archaeological services are needed to assist in the review of submitted plans and studies, evaluate site significance, provide recommendations for further investigation of sites, conduct on-site monitoring during minor land disturbance, and assist in monitoring and documenting unexpected discoveries of archaeological resources. Consulting on scopes of work for additional investigation and/or mitigation (Phase II or III and site interpretation) to be incorporated into memoranda of agreement approved with Major Site Plans.
