Renovation of a residential development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The Waterbury Healthy Homes Program (WHHP) is undertaking a lead-based paint abatement project located at 26 Saint Paul Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. The Site building consists of a three-family residential building. The interior of the dwelling along with the exterior areas have been comprehensively tested for lead-based paint. Toxic levels of lead-based paint were identified on various components and surfaces throughout At least one (1) child under the age of six (6) years old resided in each dwelling unit at the time of inspection. Lead-based paint abatement is required for the dwelling units, common areas and exteriors. All work specified in the Scope of Work must be performed by a State of Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH) licensed Lead Abatement Contractor. There are no known lead-based paint abatement orders or notice of violations on the inspected Site building. The Work of Lead Hazard Reduction and Healthy Homes Intervention. Two separate bids required. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All bids in excess of $50,000.00 be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Bid Price. The Bidder to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. Question Deadline 06/05/2024 at 2:00 PM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents must be submitted to the City website at electronically. The City will issue written clarifications or interpretations by Addenda online at the City electronically not later than 2:00 PM June 7, 2024 be binding. Oral and other clarifications or interpretations will not be binding and will be without legal effect. After review of the factors set forth in the Instructions to Bidders, the City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to make an award, or to decline to make an award.
