ALL questions should be emailed to Rob Butler at rbutler@dlz.com . Excavation, removal and disposal of non-hazardous contaminated soils. Excavation and proper disposal of USTs, if found. Dewatering with on-site containment prior to off-site disposal, as required. Backfilling of excavation and site restoration. 5% Bid Security The scope of work includes the removal and off-site disposal of the building slab/foundation and nonhazardous contaminated soils from the location shown on Figure 2. The excavation will extend to a maximum depth of 12 feet bgs, or as directed by the Professional. The Contractor shall be prepared to dewater if necessary. If dewatering becomes necessary, dewatered liquids are to be containerized on site in fractionization (frac) tanks until able to be disposed at an off-site facility. The scope of work described in the specifications generally includes, but is not limited to the following: Site services, mobilization, demobilization Dewatering, treatment and disposal of groundwater, if necessary Removal of building slab/foundation, all concrete and/or asphalt pavement, and excavation, removal and disposal of contaminated soil Backfill and compaction Removal and replacement of existing sidewalk and curbing adjacent to Charlevoix and Newport Streets, along extent of excavation.
